The Battle of Alderaan. The Republic's gravest hour. Recently promoted to Darth, Malgus launches the first of many surprise attacks that would become his trademark during the Great War, perfectly timing the assault with a feint that pulls the Republic fleet light-years away. A:Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place approximately three hundred years after the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR). At the conclusion of the Jedi Civil War in KOTOR, Revan disappeared into unknown space in search of a great threat to the Republic, an expanding Sith Empire led by a mysterious Emperor who planned vengeance for his ancient Jedi enemies. Revan never returned from unknown space, but the Sith Empire did, kicking off a war with the Republic that lasted for decades. Now, despite the uneasy truce created by the Treaty of Coruscant, the tension among the divided star systems is threatening to once again tear the galaxy apart.

@MRTIPJ i believe they just did it to make people want to play as the trooper class when it came out and so the trailer looked better plus he is a commander is suit might be insulated against lightning but you also have to ask how does a thermal detonator blow up in his hand and he still uses it to fire the flare gun? lol

I like how this trooper took the lightning head on like champ and kept coming with not a lightsaber but instead a standard issue combat knife. That took balls of steel and alot of raw willpower (and a very high tolerance for pain) to take Malgus' lighting like an OG! I have yet to see a Jedi do that! Yoda got knocked out cold when he got hit with it! lol

Thumbs up if you dislike the fact that the most Jedi Council's throughout the long history of the Jedi Order had forbidden Jedi from using force lightning! Or am I the only one who thinks that sucks?

@WafflezDay yes very true i haven't read many of the new order books i like the old republic books more the older ones i find to be much better :D but any thing star wars is good :D

@todjordl3 Actually Luke Skywalker changed that in the New Order, considering he married Mara Jade. So you are right when it comes to this time period and the Clone Wars era, but not later. :D
