This video shows what landing in Sulpher Creek, ID is like in a small plane. No go-arounds here! His comments:
"This is a 'One way in -- One way out' strip. The approach is misleading. Once you are on short final, do not attempt a go around unless you are flying a very high performance aircraft. It's a great place to fly into and stay. Accessible only by air and trail."
very nice films bro!

It isn't a rule. Just sound advice. If you have a high performance plane you have options. So, go-arounds are possible, but don't bet your plane can out climb rising terrain in a high density altitude environment.

Can anyone explain the "no go around rule" here? Is it because it's sort of like a box canyon and there's no room to fly a pattern (unless you can gain LOTS of altitude on departure)?
