An interesting video showing the very fast and short stroke of the Ruger Mk II .22 pistol. Filmed at 600 Frames/Second
-

The "F1" was set for "macro" focus and the closest footage was filmed less than 6" away from the gun. Care had to be taken to avoid damage to the camera with the spent shells.

You may have noticed the difference in white balance. I usually set my White Balance to either "Overcast" or "Shade" on bright days. One would think setting the camera to "Shade" would cause overexposure on bright days, but it has an opposite effect, giving a slightly darker and less-overexposed looking image. I think Casio may have mislabeled the Exposure settings? Who knows!

  • so your name means "the way of the bat", or are you a "Tick" fan?

  • @gunthebitch Yeah, I loved the Tick. "TAO" was actually the gaming clan I was in years ago. We played a shooter gamed called Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Fledermaus was a good German name to use. Few people know about The Tick muchless about Die Fledermaus.

  • u should hold that gun up to ur eye and shoot lmao

  • @hatenwithcomments97 Keep trying....

  • I see you or someone else got the rear tire of that truck! You must need a lot of light to shoot at 600 fps, don't you.

  • @MuzzleBlast357 Just a reposessed truck, lots of repo'd cars, boats, motorcycles parked at that place. You do need pretty good lighting to film, direct sunlight is more than enough. If it is overcast, it is often too dark to film.

  • I shoot a Ruger Mark II Target and did not know the bolt bounced like that...when it hits the back of the chamber the first time it recoils off and then seats itself...interesting.

  • @murphinator3 Half the fun is seeing the shells flying towards the camera. I use a protective filter on my camera to protect the lens so I often try to move into the path of the shells, it's a neat effect.

  • como se llama la musica?

  • This gun works and looks just like the japanese nambu pistol

  • Going to get mine next week. Gun shop in my area has a Mark I for $300 and another for $450. Music in the back fits the vid perfectly. Lol!

  • @GrisGrisManVoodooMD I thought the same thing! I have the MKIII 45. I wonder if my bolt does this? That's a lot of bounce.

  • ive had some nasty shit fly out of the bolt grooves before during shooting

  • This gun is worth all praises... until it comes down to field-stripping it. Have a 1970`s issue Standard, it's a real PITA to clean it.

  • I never knew the bolt bounced either..amazing it does that without jamming evening under fast firing!!!

  • Interesting how the bolt bounces every time it goes forward.
