  • There is nothing to dread about locs. Please stop calling them dreadlocs. There called "LOCS". That term "Dreadlocks" is a racially degrating term used by whites in the context of "look at those dreadful locs" There nothing to dread about "locs". Jesus had hair of locs not hair of dread locs. Change the title please, uneducated people are watching, its sends the wrong message to a community who is still learning to be proud of itself.

  • really? so its not called dreadlocs but locs?

  • @BLACKXV you know its funny you say that, cos even as a "novice" in the loc game, i have already noticed my shift,i.e now i find my self more reluctant to call them Dreadlocks these days, when like you said there's nothing to be dreaded about natural locs.

  • Those Look Really Small

  • @mrmakupants That doesn't make any sense, "your hair is starting to "dread up". That is not what is happening to your hair, it is locking, as in "intertwine" and in " coming together permanently". Exactly your locs are beautiful. So a beautiful terminology should be used.

  • Sorry!! Rasta's have nothing to do with the way our hair can take on different shapes and forms effortlessly. B/C their Faith permits the cutting of hair, They do not get credit for Locs. If Rastas were european, and didn't cut their hair would their hair be called DREAD(LOCS). No!!!

  • @BLACKXV That's how the term originated, but depending on who you talk to, not everyone is as uptight about which term is being used.

  • you should caution against hair loss

  • Pretty Cool!

  • @Iluvagua she wasnt getting locs, she was getting the extension and alot of ppl dont cut the ends rather leave them straight or allow then to knot on their own which sometimes takes longer.

  • @daniepdx i just said that before i saw this comment... i knew something wasnt right.
