My Magic Jack review. I discuss using Magic Jacks with a smart panel, fixing the Caller ID bug, faxing and adding an additional home phone line using a second Magic Jack.

  • Magic Jack will not allow me to call my internet provider. But I can reach other numbers. I talked to my internet provider and they said it wasn't them. They said to check with Magic Jack, but I haven't been able to reach them.

  • @Truthrevealed21 I don't know what to say. (?) Have you tried the online customer service? I find it to be surprisingly punctual. I get a live person with a minute or so. GO to the Magic Jack website, scroll to the bottom and there's an option for customer service.

  • I heard that u can't leave a netbook running all the time.....that it will over heat

  • @lonestarprepper: So far my setup has proven that to be untrue.

  • @lonestarprepper: six months in and still no problems.

  • @tanbrolo nettalk has a app that free that runs on your cell, I figured mj may have a app?

  • @eloid777: using Magic Jack service is just like using a typical phone service. You get your own number with area code, then all calls within Canada and North America are free (included in annual cost). If you called someone locally, no one would pay anything more than their usual phone service cost. Just pick up a phone, dial and talk.

  • @eloid777: I've read that you can use Magic Jack service on a cell phone (e.g. unlocked iPhone). Pretty sure there's software you can get, you input your Magic Jack settings then use the service on your phone using a wifi connection.
