November 26 and 27 mark the 40th anniversary of the recording of the Rolling Stones concerts at Madison Square Garden that yielded the epochal Get Yer Ya-Yas Out!, the bands definitive live album. In recognition of that historic occasion when The Worlds Greatest Rock n Roll Band played The Worlds Greatest Stage, ABKCO Records will release Get Yer Ya-Yas Out! The Rolling Stones In Concert 40th Anniversary Deluxe Box Set and a Super Deluxe Box Set on November 3rd and November 17th respectively. The late Lester Bangs reviewing the original album in the November 12, 1970 issue of Rolling Stone wrote, Its still too soon to tell, but Im beginning to think Ya-Yas just might be the best album they ever made. I have no doubt that its the best rock concert ever put on record.

  • Best live Stones album EVER and one of my favorite live albums!

  • Ya can't go wrong with Da Stones

  • Get your Ya Ya's out is one of the finest live rock performances of all time. That night,.. the Stones were the greatest rock band on earth. Much credit to Mick Taylor for that classic performance. Richards is always a classic great. But the night belonged to Taylor's playing, and the whole of the band as a unit of pure professionalism. Love it.

  • @mickjagger24 it is on the Get Yer Ya-Yas Out! box set

  • @limunan they probably didnt film the full msg show

  • i have the book ROLLING STONES FROM A TO Z

reason why for all the ike tina turner and bb king songs was because the stones wanted to release it as a double album with the opening acts but the record label was not interested

  • Does anybody remember when and where they first heard "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out"? Seems to me I first heard it in late 1970 a year after it was recorded.

  • @mickjagger24 Their altamont version is very similar. I'd like to find an actual track (or mp3) for this also if anyone knows where to find it. On youtube you can search "Rolling stones under my thumb altamont"

  • gotta love Charlie!:)))

  • I love this band, and this is their best official live release.

but if you ever heard any concert from the european leg of theit 73 tour (especially brussel) or, even better, a comp of those concerts called the best live document ever (taking the best versions of 15 songs from 4 different concerts), you will know that this here isn't more than probably 60 % of what the taylor stones were capable of.
