Thundercaller

This video is of a live performance from my Master's Degree Recital on May 12, 2009 in Walter Hall at the University of Toronto. Special thanks to Tyler Kerr for the video recording and Peter Olson for the audio recording.

When searching for multiple-percussion repertoire to put on my recital, one of my teachers (Bev Johnston) recommended that I put my degree in music composition to good use and write one. The result is this piece, which turned out to be a lot of fun to write and perform. This video is actually of the world premiere of the piece.

Thundercaller is currently printed and distributed by the composer, and is available for purhase upon request.

Technically excellent and beautifully conceived. Thanks for showing the versatility of percussion playing, and the variety of tone that can be derived from drums.
