... for like 10 years, and they never went down here, except maybe for Paris.
How did you discover the Busters? My first Busters CD purchase was "Dead Or Alive", in 1996. In stores I was also able to find the original "Ruder than Rude" and "Couch Potatoes" (not on LP though, only CD). Then (quickly) ordered the magnificent "Stompede" album from a french mail-order - there were no possible web orders back then.
I was dedicated to my cause - and that was Ska ! And more especially - THE BUSTERS..

Hallo JJ,
Wie geht's? Thanks for your prompt answer :-) It's nice to see there are plenty of Busters fans out there :-)
About my previous comment, this is all about my personal feelings and, true, nostalgia. This is the band I used to listen to when I was a kid, and it was by far my favourite band. Seeing new singers in the Busters is like another reminder of my old age (lol). About seeing them live, I doubt that I ever will, I've been asking for a french tour...
It's a shame that Klaus (who had been there from the very beginning) and Markus left the band, it's not the same spirit anymore...
Besides, and more importantly, the Busters have also lost their original song writer, Mäx Grittner (bass player), who was a crucial foundation member. He is the one responsible for the Busters' legendary lyrics on almost all albums.
Anyone has a clue on why they left?
(still, even though the Busters' blessed days are behind us, they remain an INCREDIBLE Ska band!)

Hi Charlie,
Klaus and Mäx left the band for private reasons. Klaus started a family, he and his wife have two children now. Mäx had to decide between staying in the band or taking a new job which he was always longing for. Markus left the band after he and the rest of the boys had a controversy of the band's style. As far as I know, he wanted them to sound more Pop.
It's always a pity when such great members leave. But personally, I like the "new" Busters very much and according to the older..

...videos I like their live shows nowadays even better. Now they are even better at their instruments, their musical power is blowing you away and I think that the new singers, Ron and Richie, are doing a great job on replacing Klaus and Markus.
I hope you'll ever get the chance to see them live 'cause in my opinion there is no better live band out there than The Busters!
Stay rude and best wishes to France.

As I had a special ac-Quint-ance with the Busters in the early years of Internet (1997-1999), I was granted an interview in late 1999 by the famous Peter 'Quitte' Quintern for my former Ska/Reggae website...
There's no "brand new information" within it, but still, it's quite funny and interesting. I am willing to share that with you, since you've uploaded these great series of LIVE Busters.. That could be a way to say "Danke schön !" and show some respect.

I first heard of them in 2000 when they realized a single ("Liebe macht blind") with Farin Urlaub from the German rock group "Die Ärzte". It made me hungry for more so I bought the "Boost Best" (and the single, of course) and later their "Live" album from 2002. I was addicted to their sound at once! In 2004 I saw them live for the first time and since then I've seen them 27 times, and every single concert was incredible! Perhaps you can plan a little travel to Germany for their next tour...
