Legless lizard eating pinkies (glass snake)

a legless lizard also known as the glass snake chowing down on a couple pinkies. he's a great pet as far as reptiles go and one of the stranges animals around. this particular lizard is a europen species though as most people don't know there are a few species native to america.

how big of a cage do they need?

@VirtualChris100 umm i'd say at least a 40gallon or more...they're ground animals so the more floor space the better

@Zimdeballpython alright thanks.. im thinking about getting one could u help me out with basic care? i cant really find much online. what kind of heating is best? how ofter do they eat? whats the best food to feed them? what should the temperature be at ? sorry for all the questions.

@brandonashplant they don't need fruit an' veggies an' i'm not sure how good it is for them....just give them the inside of the egg not the shells. they'll eat that. also every once in a while you can sprinkle some calcium dust on their insects or cat food.

@Zimdeballpython ok but do I give them smashed egg shell or the actual egg inside and can I give them fruit and veg sometimes?

@brandonashplant ok be sure to try to get them a shallow water dish at some point and a shallow food dish or plate to put their food on. they are primarily insect and meat eaters so don't give them veggies...they like eggs 2 so you can give them a little though since they're small they probably won't be able to eat a full egg. (when you give them egg crack it don't just set an egg in there. you can also boil the egg) if you can find Taegu and monitor food they like that 2. clean out food daily
