At a drill in the Golan Heights, the Golani reconnaissance soldiers trained with a combat engineering company and made use of the 'leopard' armored personnel carrier (APC).

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz visits the Golani reconnaissance battalion--an elite commando unit operating in northern Israel. The drill was also attended by Northern Command GOC Maj. Gen. Yair Golan and Ground Forces GOC Maj. Gen. Sami Turgeman.

  • @jesusonXTC I am not suggesting you believe in fairy tale books, nor ascribing anything special to prophets. I am telling you that the reasoning behind your claim (that religion is essential to violence), is poorly grounded. My counter-examples were (1) secular violence and (2) religious peace. I then described how our modern notion of peace has just as much historical rooting in religion as does modern violence. @ginjaninja expanded on that point, showing how religion is used as an excuse.

  • what a gun at 0:44! golani is beast

  • @jesusonXTC Lol, no grammar.

  • @DJAR1E k shut up i dont beleive in fairy tale books, moses was fiction, jesus was a zombie and mohamed was a pedophile

  • @jesusonXTC Did religion drive the war in Iraq? While the war was given religious tones and propaganda the truth is a few well connected businessmen and politicans had a thirst for controlling a large sum of oil. Hence we have what we call 'geopolitics.' As for religion if we all took the teaching sof Jesus to heart and loved our neighbours and families more than ourselves then we would have a peaceful world...even if we just took that one teaching and applied it.

  • @jesusonXTC Bollocks. People would still fight and kill. War is usually not driven by religion ; in some cases it is etc. Jihad or Crusade. But even then war is ususally given a religious face just to get the support of the people. Wars are really fought over resources, land or a politcal conflict or even sometimes scientific or secular beliefs. etc. the Nazis believed they were scientifically justified. Fact is if you took religion away today we would still be fighting tomorrow.

  • @jesusonXTC You're talking about peace and religions as if they were invented yesterday. The types of violence associated with religion that you see today are the results of an absence of reasoning, not poor "religious" reasoning. The absence of reasoning is inherent to a resentful desire for revenge, the destruction of another as the same as purification of oneself. The issue extends far past religion; the same occurs in secular movements. You didn't see Hitler or Stalin thumping a bible.

  • @jesusonXTC Unfortunately the countries of the whole world through their existence have been involved in a cycle of peace and war. Now we have simultaneous wars in different parts of the planet. In any case blameworthy the "man" that is the one who has carried out all these wars. But you accept it or not: We are living a spiritual war; that it will have their culminating point when Israel will fight against his enemies. Before was CIA vs KGB? Now is ISRAEL against the whole World. are u ready?

  • @JERUSALEN1960 no such thing as a god. same way as the easter bunny and santa. and fuck the middle east, if it wasnt for religion there would be peace

  • @jesusonXTC The fool says in his heart: there isn't God.
