HBK sure had a lot of babyfat on that face. Plus he didn't sound like he would hail from San Antonio, TX at that time. But it usually takes time and experience to build up the mic skills and personality.

@kencoa And to think Jannetty was the one pegged by WWE to become the star after the break-up of the Rockers. Now look at them. Michaels is in the Hall of Fame and is enjoying a peaceful retirement and Jannetty has screwed up every chance he had to make it as a star.

There were so many things the AWA could have done to stay in business and be an alternative promotion but Verne would not allow anything to change.
I would have loved to see these guys show up in WCW in '88. They would have gotten over huge....so long as the booker let them.
