  • Great song! James Jamerson R.I.P.! You sound fantastic on this! Tablature perhaps?

  • Thanks! Sorry, but I don't use tabs.

  • Right in the pocket! Its a pleasure to hear you.

  • Thanks! It's a pleasure to learn 'em.

  • Thanks - your upright bass sounds very nice, too! These are LaBellas on the Precision.

I've not heard that track - I can't wait for it to appear on the complete Motown singles series!

  • Im Scared of YOU! That was GREAT. BassLabd

  • Far too kind, Mr Lee!

  • Nice tones and playing man..

  • @stickwithganja 2 ears is better than a left hand...

  • This is the real deal!

  • Dude, thanks for keeping James genious alive and thumpin. I learned to play my 1956 PB to these songs. To this day, noone has layed down better bottom. And you have the funk in you!

  • HEY... HOW CAN I LEARN IF I DONT SEE YOUR LEFT HAND ...! I Want to fever in the funk too.

  • One of the funkiest lines ever 8)

Thank you so much for posting this

  • Awesome! ... would love to see another version showing your left hand too :-)

  • can someone tell me who does this version of this song?

  • Do you have an actual mute (foam, etc.) underneath your bridge cover? I have a Fender Japan '62 reissue with flats and a Fender Original '62 P-Bass pickup, but I don't get nearly that nice of a sound.

Also, do you have the book Standing in the Shadows of Motown? That's a great book. Another great play along books is the Duck Dunn book (What Duck Done). It's a blast. God bless.

  • @ayrtonthegreat i'm going to upload it, wait a moment
