This is the portion of Shema Yisrael that I performed for the kids at VBS. This is Deuteronomy 6:4-5. Its also as far as I have gotten - the passage goes through verse 9.

As usual, I apologize if I have butchered the language.

  • Brilliant video! I absolutely love your kinnor, how difficult was it to make?

  • Incredable! God bless Israel!

  • The full version of SHV's recording is now up on the "rakkav" and "teamim" channels.

  • I haven't put one up based on Suzanne Haik-Vantoura's recording, and I haven't made one of my own. In time, one or the other hopefully will get up! :)

  • I have looked for one myself, but I have not seen one. I plan on doing one soon.

  • From low to high: D E F G# A B C D E F

Its a tuning that Klez sez is common to klezmer music. I used it for 'Hava nagila' and happily found that it is also perfect for this. I am just playing fifths (E & B, and D & A) to keep me on pitch.

I would love to hear you do it.
