A improv jam on my portable modular synth setup, exploring some of the sounds from a BugBrand/MakeNoise/Doepfer patch.

All sounds derived from a single, wailing pwm oscillator. QMMG in the feedback path of BugBrand PTdelay with a secondary PTdelay for space. Oh and way too much modulation. This patch is full stereo, it really likes HD.

  • what i really want to know is where you got that suitcase!

  • I made it myself :-) DIY kit from Doepfer, some extra rails and a second-hand tool case.

If you're willing to spend I can direct you to the makers of these cases. Ebay should yield some good stuff too, just search for "trolley tool case" or similar.

  • So do you make songs with it?

  • define "songs" - I do make tracks with it, I sample it religiously too ;)

  • hello,

maybe the question is stupid but : isn't bugbrand with babana jack? how do you connect to doepfer or other modules with 3.5minijack?is is possible to purchase bugbrand with minijack?

thank you and keep on with your alieninsectcreepysound :D

  • not a stupid question at all :-)

Tom is coming out with some mini jack ones for frac, I just got lucky and got some of the first ones!

    - send him an email, he'd probably love to hear from you!

    Cheers!

  • Killer ! Beautiful...nice when it gets real down and crackly. (Er...but can you make "songs" with this ?!)

In my opinion this IS a song. Let's call it "Whales

    on Speed!"

  • hey thanks a bunch. i actually got a case for the moment but i'm planning to get myself a pelican case thing going at some point. these are good sounds, right on!

  • Full musical compositions (with structure) which feature your instrument(s).

How do you mean " I sample it religiously too ;) " ?

So where can we listen to those tracks?

  • huuuuuuuge!

  • What a beauty!

  • yeah.. I've made a max patch for addive synthesis with 7 oscillators that really sounds well.. I have to review it these days.. and maybe putting there 16 oscilators in monophonic mode, instead of putting it to 8-12 notes polyphonic mode
