Dare to Dream Different Contest - Home Access Controller

I have always wanted to make an access control system for my house. So this will be the basic functionality of the system - electronic control of the door locks and replacing the oldfashioned keys with a keypad where you enter a personal keycode. Of course many systems can already do this, so I have to have something special. The doorbell is traditionally pretty boring so this must be replaced. Everyone in the house must be able to have his/her own tune played, when a guest press their specific doorbell button. If there are 4 people in the house, there must be 4 buttons. Each person can of course select and upload their own tune. Optionally this tune can be stored on the computer network in the house or somewhere on the Internet and be fetched from there. Adding a GSM hardware telephone module and a microphone/speaker at the door, enables the system to communicate by voice or SMS to a remote person. This adds the feature that in case nobody is home, the system may be programmed to make a voice call to a preprogrammed telephone number and thereby making a direct contact to the person even when he/she is not at home.
