The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California float in the 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade not only integrated a rice and seaweed space shuttle but also two real astronauts, recent STS-129 mission specialists Leland Melvin and Robert Satcher, riding along. The float, appropriately titled "Space Odyssey," featured an orange and yellow strawflower galactic space station 'powered' by eucalyptus leaf solar panels and chrysanthemum antenna.
