@bjcmm If you had actually spent time with them then you'd know Rangers are the Army's version of Force Recon. I learned this after 10 years as a Counter Intelligence Agent and worked with Rangers, SF, SEALs, Force Recon and Marine Scouts. By the all of the following are part of US SOCOM, all you've managed to do is show you only know the military through stories of others.

@SlashinatorX Army Rangers may be as skilled as the basic Marine. Now an Infantry Marine is another story, When McCrystal had a choice of sending in three battalions of Army including Ranger and Airborne units OR a single Marine Battalion and two support regiments he went with the Marines without pause. And while the Army Rangers may be as skilled as a Marine Riflemen, They are not as trained as the equivical Force Recon Units. I would know, I've spent multipul full years side by side with them.

@SlashinatorX So of all the armed forces in the world your example to how America should be is a country that was at war with itself for 26 years? No American would say the Marines are no better then the Army. Look up comments by past world leaders. When the Army rolls in the the enemy hides... When the Marines roll in they surrender. Learn about the the military before you make comments like that. Marines, Coast Guard and the Guard have very important Jobs that Americans depend on!
