profound! Kate's very best! one of my all time fav songs. I just don't agree it's too good for b side. Being single, or on album, wouldn't make it any better. And btw, it was a secret ; )

I think helefitta is absolutely right. The song is encoded, but at some points it's about sharing this, and at others about a child on her own. But it's a delicate and entrancing handling ..
