  • What´s the name of this master / teacher?

  • The name of the master is "Zhai Wei Chuan",the foremost fifth generation member of wu style taiji. He is now in South Korea. He'll be back home soon.

  • Love this.

Grab me and I will use your elbow to put you off balance and put you on your ass.

Grab my elbow and I will use my whole arm to put you on your ass.

It is excellent and it makes me want to learn tai chi

  • it is true that it is interesting. if you have chance to come to China come and learn it.

  • looks like the student "tries something" at like 2:00, he's instantly thrown! the teacher is about to say something, then "eh?!" ...flying student

  • @Thomo1305

well Ueshiba did not invent anything, but he used the principles were here since many millenia. although he did a great job with what he did.

  • same moves can be found in aikido ;O)

  • @jclouk Good Question

  • tai chi is a great art. Pull whatever is coming, push whatever is moving away. using opponent force and lifting them off balance. Very interesting

  • Great demo. of internal power. It will be nice if we understood what he was saying.

  • 很好。受益良多。

  • Very interesting, does the master have to use any force?

I've never quite understood how a simple movement can cause so much disorder in the victim.

  • my teacher tells us not to take falls on purpose, regardless of whether or not it's for demonstration. he says it is of no benefit to the student, the teacher or anyone who's watching. having studied taiji and knowing its benefits and some of its uses, i wish they were more concerned with just explaining the principles (which are there and this teacher understands) and not making it look magically powerful

  • this is great !

  • It looks so easy
