Understanding The Kingdom of God

Matthew 4:17
Jesus said; Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

verse 23
And Jesus went all about Galilee teaching in their synagogue, and PREACHING the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and HEALING ALL MANNER OF SICKNESS AND ALL MANNER OF DISEASES among the people.

verse 24
...and they brought unto him all sick people that were with diverse diseases and torments, and those who were epileptics, and those who had palsy; AND HE HEALED THEM.

Here we see that Jesus comes on the scene and announces that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Before he makes this announcement he declared to the people...REPENT/change your mind, heart and attitude about sin and rebellion against God. Change your mind about your religious piety and worship God in Spirit and in truth. Then he tells them why they should do this. He says, because the kingdom of heaven is near.

The glory of heaven, and all that heaven has available in power, touched earth, in the person of Christ, God's anointed Son.

When you became Born Again, heaven touched earth through the Spirit of Christ (the anointed) touching you.

Almost in every nation, civilized and uncivilized, man seeks to connect with the divine. Islam, Buddhism, Hare Krishna, Yoga; all of these claim pathways to God. Buddhism and Yoga specify a discovery of the "inner self" as pathways to peace and the presence of the "God" within.

True Bible based faith in Christ offers the only relationship where you are not trying to reach God or connect with the divine through various ceremonies or rituals. Through your belief and acceptance of his Son by faith, God and the kingdom of God and all that God from heaven has to offer reaches out and connects with you right there where you are.

Heaven came to earth in the person of Christ. Jesus was the living example of God's kingdom made manifest in man, for the purpose of releasing God's glory in the earth, to all that would believe. If you are a believer then the kingdom of God has been made manifest and according to Matthew the Kingdom of God is within you.

The kingdom is not a place it is something within you,you have just...to find it ,it is a process of sifting what is good shaping you and disgard the rubbish out of the temple that Christ said he will raise in 3 days,you are that temple a place where rightteousness and justice rules your heart,and He may say well done my good and faithful servant

Sorry bud! You know nothing concerning the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is NOT here now. You're just a false minister, deceiving the minds of the simple. Jesus Christ IS coming back again to establish HIS kingdom here on earth. The United Staes of Europe is forming now behind closed doors. There WILL be a new world order taking over the entire world very soon. Save this post. It's going to hit you like a ton of bricks one day. don't ever say, It came without warning!

@SoldoutGodchaser As much as I totally disagree with these false ministers, who believe that the kingdom of God is here now, which is not. I have to say that the kingdom of God IS the same thing as the kingdom of heaven. Sometimes when mothers or fathers say to people, "that's my girl" in stead of "that's my daughter" Doesn't it mean the same thing? or "That's my boy" instead of "That's my son" doesn't it mean the same thing? What's the purpose of two terms then. check yourself.

you are quoting a book writin to control people 1,000's of years ago,its old ideas have no place in todays world,its so funny how people take it apoun themselves to let you know what god wants. religions have been a scurge to our culture for far to long. all you have to do is look at the world and what these so called people of god are doing to each other in the name of god. how silly we humans are. all i can do is laugh

One thing is to get baptized by the Holy Spirit and have a mustard seed left from it within oneself and another thing is to seek and find the kingdom of God. Jesus said that broad is the road which leads to hell, which means that many loose their mustard seed since they do not seek and grow in the Holy Spirit.

So if the kindgom of God and the kingdom of heaven are the same thing, why are there even two terms here. Why isn't one term used throughout the scriptures. Is the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God the same thing? If they are I really do not understand the purpose of two terms.
