beautiful song ;)

@hihellohowareyou1000 ....you're right man, I wouldn't say he's amongst the greatest guitarists, I just said he wasn't mediocre. He does have a strong voice, BUT he does also have range. This song is the perfect example. There aren't too many guys that can sing CCR's songs in the key Fogerty wrote them (obviously Stewart can). I'm also stating the opinion of a lot of people, so I guess agree to disagree. Peace, bro

@hihellohowareyou1000 ..agreed

@hihellohowareyou1000 ....a FEW good songs? like I said , you are entitled to your opinion,not arguing with you. But I've seen Fogerty live, and he is not a mediocre guitarist. He's actually pretty incredible. And to say he's a lousy singer? It's his style that you do not like. How can you call a guy with his vocal range a lousy singer? There are many artists that I do not like, simply because I'm not into their style. But it doesn't mean they're not talented.

@hihellohowareyou1000 .... I do agree with you that Stewart has always been great...but Fogerty has also always been great. Aside from the fact that he has incredible vocal range, he's written some of the greatest songs ever. Stewart would've never been able to sing this song if Fogerty didn't write it. If you're comparing them as musicians, Fogerty is simply more well rounded. You're comparing an amazing singer, song-writer , and guitar player to someone who is strictly a vocalist.

@hihellohowareyou1000 ...Fogerty was / is awesome...I saw the guy perform a couple years back....and he sounds EXACTLY the same....and what a guitar player!! Yea, he has an unusual sound for a guy that came from Cali...but so what? He was obviously influenced by rock'n'roll, and that's what inspired him. Rod Stewart is great and all.....but when you factor in Fogerty's song writing ability and guitar playing, it's no question as to who the more talented musician is.

finally someone whose happy on th stage. :_)

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh creedenceeeeeeeeeee

I've always loved Rod's version of this song, he really puts in the emotion it needs. Also, I think it's amazing that a Rock legend as well-established as him can be bothered to get up at that time in the morning, let alone sing.

this song is about the vietnam war when america sent planes full of toxic chemicals that would kill the trees and plants so the vietnamese cant hid under the trees or plants anymore, making it easier for american soldiers so seek and killed them. due to this black, toxic chemical radiating the people that came in contact with the chemicals, many vietnamese babies were born deformed or retarded. so the song was to discribe the chemicals falling down like a rain on a sunny day as an anti-war song.
