Overengineered

Animated and produced by Sebastian Lenton and Peter Hodgson, this film was initially inspired by a time-lapse recording we made of ourselves dicking about with Technic Lego one night.

The title "Overengineered" is a reference to the film's needlessly laboured production process. In particular, we spent hours designing, constructing and refining the Lego models- the final keyboard stand was able to take quite some considerable weight in spite of the keyboard used in the film weighing virtually nothing, whilst the soundtrack took longer than the rest of the film combined!

Consequently, this film is dedicated to the millions of people all over the world who dedicate their precious time to utterly meaningless pursuits which make no difference to anyone whatsoever... Overengineers of the world, we salute you!
