  • Last time I checked, the police weren't running a taxi service.

  • "Last time I checked", when was the last time you checked?

Law Enforcement has the responsibility to protect her. If that means "running a taxi service" so be it. She is a citizen. If he left her, on the side of a country road, that is not protecting her. If she did not want a ride from the SCHP, he should have stood by until help arrived. Isn't it the responsibility of law enforcement to help/protect stranded citizens? She is stranded because the vehicle she was an occupant of was towed.

  • people always get on the phone to let others listen cause they are scared and think it will help them in court . it does not help and shows the maturity of the person on the phone . if you try and talk to the officers in a respectful manner you will be way better off .trust me .

  • i've got one for you: my daughter was killed by TWO underage drunk drivers racing on impulse, in SC. (one driver died) the SCHP told me he could tell the other uninjured driver had been drinking, but the "trooper" allowed him to call a friend and never tested him and never charged him. see my video about it on the front of my youtube. Pam, Kelli's mom

  • I believe in a situation like this, they should transport her. Obviously if your drunk or what not you can't call and get a ride home. Also...when did she ever get nasty or rude or cop (ha ha get it) an attitude with the officer. Never heard it.

  • I live in south carolina some of the troopers not all of them tend to have a fairly nasty attitude towards individuals when they come in contact with them. Moreover, I own a tow truck in williamsburg county. That towing company and trooper are full of crap. The only reason he wouldn't let her get the car that night is so he could charge her a $150 dollars towing plus overnight storage and get more money he probably paid the trooper a little something to it happens trust me.

  • I've been in Law enforcement in the RURAL south since 1996, The lady should have been taken to a safe location and not left on the side of the road. Comments like the previous shows how ignorance is prevailing. Its not about what region of the world your in, it bolis down to what kind of human being you are. If you dont believe me youtube NYPD cops OR LAPD beatings and gripe about the RURAL south!! Idiot.

  • Duty of care was the Police officers responceabilty towards the lady end of story.

  • Im a police supervisor and if one of my officers did this..he would be working at burger king...what a power hungry douche....he needs to be reassigned to the local wal mart as a cart gatherer.

  • I fuckin love how he says, "You in South Carolina now; I dunno where you from..."

    XD ROFL

  • Don't travel in the rural South.

  • Policy prohibits troopers from leaving someone on a controlled access highway without offering a ride. In this case the person in question was offered a ride and refused. Simple, happens every day.

  • a lot of black cops have a worse atitude to whites than that .
