Oh sweetie, you need to learn how to pronounce ``Taglioni\\\-'' and ``Sylphede.'' Also I suggest you read the chapter about romantic ballerinas in Jennifer Homans' ``Apollo's Angels.''

Ne regardez que les images et n'ecoutez pas cette voix insuportable et laide qui a l'air de complétement se fouttre de ce qu'elle lit, et ce piano qui sonne comme une casserole...La Taglioni mérite 1OOO fois mieux que ça!!!

No one knows who the very first was. Brugnoli was among the first, but del Caro and Bias were depicted before her.

there was no such thing as "classical ballet" in Taglioni's time - the technique was still romantic. Its La Syl-feed my dear.
