Cutting Safetouch cleanly.

There have been a lot of questions about this stuff on building forums, here's one way to get a clean edge.

Wiss M300 shears (orange handles).

Gloves aren't really needed, it has no fiberglass or nasty chemicals, but it does have some dust residue that makes your hands feel a bit grubby.

  • Insulators have long awaited the day that a fiber-glass free material would surface into the market. Not long after it's arrival were the down sides exposed of this product. The installers have had difficult times using this product do to it's extreme difficulties in cutting of this material. The usage of the standard utility knives and/or cutting shears/snips seems to be the best way to cut this, but at a high and painful stake of being a very difficult task. Not being a time friendly product.
