  • Salut Denis. En furetant le web je suis tombé par hasard sur ce vidéo. Tu connais mon admiration pour Andrew Johnson. Même si j'écoute ce CD au moins 1 ou 2 fois par mois depuis bientôt 3 ans, je ne me lasserai jamais d'entendre sa voix. En passant, le 2è CD des Oxford Clerks est maintenant disponible. Andrew y chante toujours en tant que baryton. A+

    Schafe können sicher weiden, wo ein guter Hirte wacht,

    Sheep can graze safely, where a good shepherd watches

    Wo Regenten wohl regieren, kann man Ruh and Frieden spüren und was Länder glücklich macht.

    Where Princes govern well, one senses peace and harmony and what makes the region (Duke's territories) happy.

    The Prince in question was Duke Christian of Sachsen-Weissenfels whose birthday was being celebrated. This was dinner music.
