Team Fortress 2 Sniper Training with bots

how to practice sniper with bots in Team Fortress 2. note, i don't claim to be an amazing sniper. i only have a mediocre score of 28 points 14 headshots. but i do find this method useful and practical and hopefully i'll set a new sniper record soon :P

ask questions if you have any

this is a custom map i DID NOT create, but i did edit it in Hammer.

the command to make the bots run is
bot_flipout 3

also, practice on both stationary bots and moving bots.

practice these
1. keeping target in center of screen while unscoped. this makes it easier to aim when you scope
2. moving your aim towards the target FAST after scoping.
3. moving WHILE sniping
4. Bring your aim to the target. don't guess where the targets going to run and aim in front of him.
5. Sniper Mindgames. this is all intuition, or copying other people if you dont have any

note that this will NEVER be as useful as playing against real players and good players. bots do not move like players do. If you really want to get good at sniper, you need to play against other people. However, practicing against someone much better than you will not benefit you at all, as you may never be able to even hit him. You need to practice the basics, which this exercise DOES help with

@mrsniperman50cal this is tf2, you have to wait 200ms before a sniper shot becomes a crit. I don't suppose you know what a critical hit is because you're from the land of call of duty where all good game mechanics go to absolute and utter fuck.

Sry forget this: to add bots by console type tf_bot_add and put how many you want depending on how many players the server allows , to add specific class bots type tf_bot_add (count) (class) (team) (difficulty) , also heavies are called heavyweapons like in the heavy trailer
