When I got mine it also sounded bad. I fixed it by adjusting the position of the screw on the back and now it sounds like the one in my video of it.

Those are mostly in my old high school, there's more than likely horn/strobes in the new wing
-
@Federal3t22 and a quick check of the compatibility list, shows this horn was not compatable, and that's why it sounded like it did. oddly it said classic Spectras were, yet they sound horrible on MS-4424Bs (I've only tested mine on it twice).

@schuminweb The MS-4424B was not helping things either. that FWR power supply is not very friendly to some electric horns. My 9806 sounds about as bad on the MS, and my 9219 sounds harsher, much like my U-NH-MCS. The 34T+WS still sounds like it should on the MS. I should double check the compatibility list from fire-lite's site to see which electric horn is ok to run on it.

@jemerson722 Yeah, I was about to say... that's the way they're supposed to sound. That rattly sound is the way they sound.

ive got one of those horns except it is 120 volts ac. its silver with a red sounder. it makes a nice tone.
-
ummmm what? I kind of doubt the NCAA, NBA, or any other sports venue, no matter how big or small, gives two flying figs what brand of horn goes into their scoreboards, as long as it makes a sound when needed.

New NCAA rule- no "edwards" brand signaling devices on scoreboards- good ! They always sounded like someone pooping a diaper :)
