EMI didn' t really know what to do with the ferociously talented George Martin - so they put him in charge of Parlophone: an ailing novelty label covering mainly Scottish interest and British comedy talent.
Comedy records were undergoing a minor revival with the likes of Alan Sherman - so Peter Sellers and George Martin revived the English comedy record as a form.
Meanwhile George Martin had signed the Beatles to his new label - all the major labels had turned them down .....

Just a bit of instruction for the young people there. So spoilt by laughter. Try and get a recording of him doing this in the studio. He was a genius IMHO.

Peter Sellers is one of the funniest men that ever lived. What an honour it must have been to parodied by man of his genius. This sketch is a timeless classic.
