@injertocapilar you guys do the same amounts of fu's on patients because theres another video here that has the same fu's( 1,551 ) it has a date of march 11 2008

i ask because this patient doesn t  look like he has coverage looks almost the same comparing with the other video and same fu's transplanted?? and that guy's hair looks pretty good for 1551 fu's is it the hair is thicker color ?? or is it a mistake?

Indeed a same number of units can offer different coverages. The coverage depends on three factors: 1. Number of hairs by follicular unit: A normal rule is to have 2 to 2,5 hairs by follicular unit. At the end, the number of hairs is the important thing. Is not the same to have 3000 hairs (or less) in 1500 units than 3500 hairs.

2. Texture of the hair: I believe this is the more important factor. The normal hair have 50 to 60 microns. 70 microns is a very thick hair, 40 is a very thin hair. 3. Receiving area: small areas will have better coverage. In this case we have a young patient with thin hair and a preservative approach.

@capgains FUE has a very very long lerning curve, if you want to have the same result than Strip. We have been 7 years doing only FUE. I can't talk about others surgeons experience. That's all, with skill and patience the results must be the same with both techniques, in good hands.

@injertocapilar i understand this is a relatively new technique. some doc's are claiming the traditional flap method is much more successful than the fue. however, these same doc's have little to no training in the fue, so why would they promote something that takes training and time.

is there enough evidence to prove the fue to have equal or greater long-term results as the old flap method?
