I saw him the other night in SF and he commented that he can't stand what he calls "his radio" top 40 style...but as funny as he made the comment he launched into a version of this song very similar to the record...it was classic Hornsby!

I like that Bruce re-recorded this song in a bluegrass version. I also like that Bruce refuses to become and "oldies act" and play the song the same way all the time in concert - or just because the some obnoxious audiences call for it. This original is good. But he doesn't need to play his hits just like they were originally recorded. If some want to hear them the way they were on the record/CD, then they should listen to the record/CD. Bruce would rather keep it fresh and I'm down with that.

i saw him a couple of years ago, and he was a total asshole towards the audience, because they kept calling for this song, and the way it is. if it weren't for those two songs, no one would even know who he was. what a jackass...two great songs though...
