Certainly I've heard for Sergio Endrigo and"1947".
Wars,economic or political reasons,can force us to leave homeland but heart will be always there where we're born.
Like this song is saying,"there in my home,there stayed everything,in a stone house,in a house of my mother".
I just hope that I'll be soon at home..

OH! That is so very neat to know!! That is why I wondered about it, because it said "tu je moj dom,... moja matere!" I am sorry about the mispelling, if any!

Sergio Endrigo, who was born in Pula (Pola), composed a beautiful song, "1947," which can make one cry! I hope you have heard it!

But, now, I am curious! This was sung at a Zadar festival in 1995, if I am not mistaken! Was it composed in homage to Zadar??

I stayed in Uglijan, at a bed and breakfast called Hotel Stivon, and the view from my room, and during the hike I took along the beach, were simply breathtaking! Wonderful hosts, too!! Uglijan is gorgeous!
