We took our 1996 Vette to the annual Bloomington Gold Corvette show at the Pheasant Run Resort and Golf Course in St. Charles IL. Beautiful sunny day and in the 80s for a change. This was the first sunny day we had seen in weeks in the Chicago area.

  • @JesseLJohnson Thanks for watching. You sound just like my husband the way you can tell the exact details of what year a car was made! We walk around other car shows and he'll say, wrong hood for that year, wrong pipes, etc. You guys know your vettes!

  • @armored1 Now THAT is TOO bizarre! Who would have ever thought that you would randomly see your car in a YouTube video of a car show with so many cars? Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • @gunnerrun13 Hey, good to hear from you. Yes, it was a gorgeous day. Looks like we'll have a pretty good weekend too. You, Minbound, and Yankee all have VERY expensive taste with these old cars. :) All those old convertibles were pulling big bucks at the auction.

  • @minbound I'm not a fan of the new ones either. The old one's are beautiful, but I hate driving my bank account around town! That's why I gotta prep, to save money for an older car! I'd much rather have an old '66 or one of the early 70's where they had the chrome bumpers and luggage racks! So much easier to work on too, when you can find all the parts!

  • @Yankeeprepper So many cars, so little time.....and $.....and garage space. Those 57's are nice, but oh so expensive, and the steering wheels are super huge. Now we're back to the rain again today.

  • @ristin59 It was fun. Nothin' like those old cars. They are all works of art! My husband had over 20 corvettes over the years that he's restored and loved. When we met he had a yellow '66 with side pipes. Now that was a car you could get your hands into and work on. They don't make 'em like that anymore!

  • Great Video, I watched closely trying to fine mine in your video, about to give up hope until you returned to your silver vette (with no front license plate), then realized I parked right next to you. How Cool! My car is the blue electron Z06 right next to yours. Thanks for sharing.

  • looked like a very cool show and that is how it has been this year rains for a couple days and then you get a beautiful sunny day and back to the rain again for a few days

  • @Yankeeprepper now i know why i saw so many vettes around this past weekend i was right down the street from this show!!! but im with you Yankee that black 57 ragtop is top on my list!!!

  • those vettes in the beginning were nice they are 59-62 though 57 had 2 headlights 58-62 had 4 but the 58 had louvers in the hood

  • i love vettes i own a 1981 4 speed car kinda strange most were all automatics and dad has a 67 convertible just a 327/350hp car but nice still and its a 4speed with factory side pipes and all with the hard and soft top

  • I'm with Yankee on this one, I love the 50's Vettes too, can't beat the lines, IMO. Thanks for sharing.
