You are so right! Religion, as most know it now in the West, has very little to spirituality or the Divine. It is a social/political movement masquerading as a voice for the Divine. As a result it has been corrupted and will be diminished as a real souce of assistance to people's lives.

This respected Rabbi sounds god damn right on that there is a spiritual force behind everything. And mind you, he speaks on the cardinal human values and not on religion. Avoid the pitfalls of confusing spirituality with religion, for religion is not synonymous with spirituality, and vice versa, a distinction that must be made.

I agree. Religion only brings extremist who dont have a TV or hobby and would rather kill people out of frustration "in the name of their god". How peaceful of a religion. NOT. Rabbi Lerner, why not speak to PRESIDENT BUSH. Like, uh, right now? If not, NOTHING is going to change. We appreciate your words, however the people you should really be reaching out to is the PRESIDENT and CONGRESS etc, etc. Its the presidential election.... perfect time to come into the media. DO IT FOR EVERYONE

Wouldn't you say once love has been arouse and expressed what else has to be achieved? The problem is arousing universal love in the human heart. Religion my help, but we really need to experience God to become a fountain of love. That requires devotion, but how to get that - maybe ask for?
