After being diagnosed with leukemia in November 2005, Airyque (pronounced Eric) underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. He took drugs so experimental that they could have left him blind or nerve-damaged. On Thursday morning, Airyque started his real adventure as he trained with Hurlburt Field's special tacticians.
