Everybody caught on eventually, and cops & teachers would actually take them from you if they caught you using them.
Also used to phreak parking meters with popsickle sticks & butter knives. Fool change machines in arcades with aluminum foil. Always finding crafty ways to get stuff for free.

@playaeyez17 Have to say I agree with everything you say, apart from the apple part, perhaps some of the people that buy apple product's only do it because there 'cool' But apple is such a passionate company, that to me give's it and its product's a soul.

Well fucking said man. You just pointed out one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate what's become of tech... relegated to some trendy young douche bag perpetually downloading "apps", tweeting, and posting pointless shit on their Facebook walls.
And the people that hate on this movie are mostly comprised of the demographic we just mentioned, because they just don't "get" it.

I think we all had friends that looked like Dade. I had one too, named Nick. Moved here from France, now lives in Ohio. Taught me about good absinthe, and some French pronunciations. Only an average computer user though.
I used to be the "Phreak" in my neighborhood. I made a red box and always kept it + a certain capt. crunch whistle in my pocket... never paid for a phone call ;)

If you were a young kid/teen in th 90's this was hands down your "ferris buller's day off" race to get home finale scene moment!. Life was golden & technology was pure/crazy anything's possible fun (hence the movie). Now this tech driven world has no soul. You may get online on your "pc" still but you gotta share It with trendy braindead apple i-EVERYTHING society who only texts non-existant words on facebook for "fun". 2011 hurts
