  • im sorry for my lack of snake knowledge, and sorry again if this is a stupid question, but why is having a male bad, did you want a female to breed to a male you already had or what?

  • @connjamm19

You probably meant tarantula knowledge, as these are not snakes...Well males have tremendously shorter lifespans than females, and it would suck if you do not have a female to breed with or it's a rare species that's hard to find, which is why females are better if you don't plan on breeding.

A male's sole purpose is to breed with females, then they die either from being eaten by the female or from old age.

people pronounce names differently, just like people say toma-toe and to-mato.

People suggest Pee-sil-o-theria, other people call it pokie-lo-theria

  • @connjamm19

they eat pretty much the same thing as adults (crickets), but obviously at a much smaller scale and I feed my slings about as often as adults. Unlike tarantulaguy1976, I post live feeding schedules so if you note the dates, that will answer the how often part. I'll leave it up to you to decide how often but should never be more than 2 times a week.

Pokies are very easy to care for as adults or slings. The male you see in the video was raised from a 2nd instar (1/2 inch)

  • @connjamm19 alright sorry about writing so many comment questions but i was thinking about getting one of these P pederseni's, and i was wondering what they eat and how often, while in their second instar, because im thinking of buying some from tarantula guy and hes sellin them for 22 bucks, also one last thing, is it easier to care for adults or babies

  • @Jon3800 oh yeah sorry bout that i knew they were tarantulas i was just really tired when i wrote it,

  • same story. Never go by that method of sexing, its only about 20% accurate.

  • Mine was actually sold to me as a female and I was in agreement because she had a huge butt and generally looked chunky - but when "she" molted I seen the boxing gloves and hooks :(

  • same boat man, and wow what a coincidence, mine was called Emilia :)

I thought it was female, until he hooked out and was making a sperm web. It pains me to have sold it
