Poofy, I know for the 350z/G35, Motordyne makes a Y pipe that reduces NVH and should help eliminate the drone you're talking about. Do a search on here or google motordyne to see if you can find it.

nice. i have the same setup... i don't have headers yet though. anyone have a JWT popcharger/nismo headers/kinetix HFC/nismo exhaust-setup sound clip?

What combination should I avoid that would give the annoying highway in-car drone? My current car (2007 Civic Si) has a race header, no cat, two resonators and a Magnaflow muffler and between 3-4k is a VERY annoying drone. I want to avoid this in my upcoming 350z.

yeah crawfords are expensive.. kinetix is a little bit louder i think

when that was doone that set up was about 2 years old!! Car has been gone for 18 months now too :)

I've had 2 Zs, Same Kinetix been on both, no issues!
Crawford are a good choice too, little more expensive though :)

i installed the nismo catback. it is not much louder than stock.

Yes! Nismo is nice, but not much louder than stock, with the cats it isn't silly loud, it can still be driven without giving a headache :)
