@Rodney81818 I agree. Cigar, Thunder Gulch and Holy Bull were my favorites. Got to meet them all this past November when I took an early vaction. They're all still beautiful.

One of horse racing's greatest regrets.
What a duel in the stretch if thunder gulch doesn't break down! Wow!
-
Seeeeeeeeeee. Yaaaaaaaaaaa. Lol gotta love that Cigar...the GREAT CIGAR
-
Another nice horse, Thunder Gulch, that broke down trying to keep up with the graceful galloper that was Cigar.

If Thunder Gulch hadn't fractured his leg in this race, I think he could've beat Cigar or at least gave him a run for his money. They were both awesome horses and I miss seeing them race.

Note one of the oldest tricks in the book...Star Standard's jock floats seven wide off the rail around the turn to try and gain a few strides..but Cigar would have none of it...the fact that he won the JCGC and then the BC Classic in such dominant style is a testament to his greatness..
This race had two of my favorite horses all-time (Outside of Secretariat) Cigar and Thunder Gulch. Also thank Thunder Gulch for Point Given. Thanks for posting.
