  • booked Zoot with Spencer Davies Group for the 1967 Rag Ball in Brighton at The Metropole , first time they had had 'pop' groups there. God that man was so drunk sacked the band twice and would not stop playing until they turned the power off.

I saw Zoot about 4 years ago and reminded him of it, his first question, was I drunk his 2nd did I sack the band, I said twice , his reply christ I must have been drunk. Good times.

  • great to hear again ...... once my friends and I used to sing this laughing .....

    fantastic words/sound combination

tried to get him to sing it at a Grimms gig ..... but he wouldn't - a rights thing I think .......

  • Scene Club was better, but respect to Georgie, Chris and Zoot.

  • great track, this is the one that got me into zoot

  • Great thumping track with beautiful 60's solid brass,love it,love it,love it.

  • Sure I used to see them as the house band in a club in Oxford Street back around '65-66. Think it was Tiles. Great band

  • The story of my life. My favorite Zoot Money song.

  • A VERY clever, tongue in cheek song. Great .Thanks for the post. I never actually knew what they looked like until now.The song seemed to come and go so quickly. I don;t even think it was a big hit. It got plenty of plays on radio though.
