  • I am starting to see this situation during inspections with different types of spray foam insulation. It's at least something to monitor.

  • @SprayFoamInspections Try googling ANY fiberglass manufacturers website, this is what you will find: "loose-fill insulation have been tested and passed the requirements of ASTM E136 combustion characteristics and are considered non-combustible by major building codes" "Fiberglass insulation is made from mineral substances processed from molten state to an incombustible fibrous form" Fucking idiot!

  • @SprayFoamInspections FIBERGLASS IS NON-COMBUSTABLE, GLASS IS NON-COMBUSTABLE. You send me to a link that shows a wood home burning down that has glass insulation? You fucking idiot! The glass melted, and the wood burned. The cellulose was likely wet blown, kinda cheating.

  • Youtube this title: "NFPA Fire Test Video Short" and then watch the Batt insulation Burn, (as well as the Foam that is not covered with sheet rock (or any approved Fire Coating). Why would I ever delete my comments when I show this link to the code inspectors to see what nonsense is being said online. Your comments help me out. Keep up the uninformed information for me. You look real knowledgeable cursing and saying things like Batt insulation is "Fire Proof". Great comments, keep it up.

  • @SprayFoamInspections LOL, surely you will delete these kinds of retarded comments. Is it really that tough for you to google fiberglass insulation and find it is "non-combustable" Need a link? Idiot!

  • @HomeEnergyNow "Fiberglass does NOT combust" ??? That is WHY it does not need the fire test...... Really? Home energy Now? You think that fiberglass does not burn?? I refuse to have a conversation with a person that thinks that they are right. Even when they are wrong....

  • Common lies from the foam industry

    1:Fiberglass is hazardous.

    2:Foam is "green"

3:Foam will save money.....ya vs. no insulation at all it will.

4:Foam will pay for itself in savings, not in the avg. 7 years a homeowner lives there.

5: Improves indoor air quality......well you can seal a house tighter than foam, w/out foam, but tight homes decrease IAQ, fresh air systems are rarely calculated properly and rarely stay working properly if they are. One dirty filter can cost you health, YAY

  • @SprayFoamInspections Only done 17-18 years ago, real up to date there bud. Guess 85% of americans will die of cancer from fiberglass then huh?It is nice to see that it is ANTICIPATED to be a carcinogen. Who anticipates that? Cellulose of foam industry maybe? Go watch the news clip on the many people that had to sue their spray foamers because is ACTUALLY caused physical harm, unlike fiberglass. Fiberglass sits on top of a SEALED, tight, air barrier. Do you live in your attic? Then don't worry!

  • Fiberglass warranties are for the life of the owner. If it ever needed replaced, its under warranty from a company that has been around the longest, unlike foam where businesses come and go. Still has high energy bills? Try a btu load calculator, fiberglass is FAR superior to foam. Now go download a free trial of RESdesign. Learn somethng before you continue to spread lies and rip people off! Are you scared? You probably won't even know what half the stuff is on an ROI calculator.

  • @SprayFoamInspections Wow, its not hard to tell when somebody has NEVER seen, or used and actuall ROI calculator, give one a shot, I will expect your comments to be deleted after you learn the truth. What you will find out installing on roof deck is, VOIDS ALL OSB MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES. You pay to condition, heat and cool, your attic space, how does that not register as stupid? Any water leaks (number one call back for builders is water leaks) you have to replace not only the OSB but the foam
