I just dont understand how it only runs on like 256mb of ram O_o

So it's not unrealistic to see this kind of raytracing in playstation 4?
-
@1schwererziehbar1 Ray tracing has been demonstrated on PC hardware years ago.
-
@GT5Enthusiast there are no games that utilize raytracing. GT5 is not an exception.
-
GT5 actually doesn't use ray-tracing. One Ps3 can't handle ray-tracing in full images at anything near a playable framerate.
-
@1schwererziehbar1 What? The PC has had Ray tracing way longer. IE Cryengine, cinema 3D, blender, maya, ect.
-
@UNCHARTED9444 YES GT5 USES ALOT OF THIS.
-
@GT5Enthusiast GT5 does not use real-time ray-tracing.

@GT5Enthusiast This is not what Gran Turismo 5 uses, it uses raster graphics like every other PS3 game. Besides, what you're seeing in this video is done by a server cluster (14 Cell processors with 112 SPEs) and can't be done by a PS3 console (one Cell processor with 6 usable SPEs).

@GT5Enthusiast Gran Turismo 5 uses regular rasterized graphics, not ray tracing.
