@fanzappa Yeah..but Bowie didn't make it such a big deal and rallying cry.And anyway...unlike Tom,he did it in a sexy way.
"Schoolboys In Disgrace"is a Kinks song. And yeah, I fear, I have to admit I'm slightly homophobic. (not in a nasty way, mind).I have big problems, picturing two males, making out) I know it's hypocritical, because I haven't got such problems, with a lesbian couple.Probably because of my confused mixed up Catholic upbringing.

@PAULLONDEN "blue monday"?
ac/dc, still to today, uses this persona, no?
check out "the catholic girls" for another example.
robinson's situation is called called bi-sexual...do you find homosexuality "discraceful"?...do you find bowie's stage persona of ziggy stardust in 1972 boring as well?
-
@fanzappa Yeah,I know, but "rather big".is an overstatement, for this blue monday bunch.
Tommy was a somewhat silly confused schoolboy in discrace. He's a happily married housefather these days.
Being "glad to be gay" was just a little experiment, and got boring rather quick.

great number...still plays in rotation on little steven's sirius channel...
-
@SkeebWilcox and good to march to, as well...
-
@PAULLONDEN taking after the kinks, knack and ac/dc...rather big in the '70's...
-
Chunkiest guitar ever recorded by mankind...
-
What the fuck is that schoolboy shtick about ?
Severe case of charisma underload here.

Oddzial Zamkniety "Oddzial", polish cover, I think is better than original

3 5 7 9 little white line...sniff sniff :)

TRB deserved more respect than they got!
"Power in the darkness" was a great album & "Glad to be gay" took a lot of balls back in 1977 & it took a great swipe at 70's police tactics.
