Alexis Korner & Steve Marriott - Get off of my cloud 1975
Original by The Rolling Stones (1965)

(Instrumental)

Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Don't hang around
Don't hang around

(Instrumental)

The telephone is ringing
I say, "Hi, it's me. Who is it there on the line?"
A voice says, "Hey man, how are you
Well, I guess I'm doin' fine"

And then he says, "It's three a.m. in the morning.
Don't you people ever wanna go to bed?
Just 'cause you feel so good, do you have
To drive me out of my head?"

Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Don't hang around
Don't hang around

(Instrumental)

Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Don't hang around
Don't hang around

  • Anything Marriott lends his voice to ROCKS!!

  • Alexis Korner was a great figure in British music. He was a central figure as a promoter of blues and an alchemist who put people together to create bands- he introduced the Stones to each other. His radio work introduced many of us to music we had no other access to (in the dark ages before Youtube). His guitar playing was not great but very good and totally individual. Idiots who suggest that Korner was in anyway a rip off are obviously ignorant of the work of a truly good man. He was loved.

  • Stunning ... What a vocal from Marriott

  • Alexis was the grand daddy of R & B in Brittan... the mentored everybody who meant anything in Rock and Blues... He was the man. Steve was showing respect...

  • @renode that is almost word for word what I would have written, I think Steve replied to Jimmy after Humble Pie was formed , something about broken fingers and of course Robert got the job because Tery Reid was also busy, i love them all.
