I show my face and briefly introduce myself at the end of this video.

(P.S. I'm not a professional performer -- just someone who loves to play. I realize this isn't a note-perfect, error-free recording, but my hope is that other music lovers will enjoy, or at least get something out of, my humble interpretation.)

Thanks for watching!

  • Bravo !!!

  • Thank you!

  • I think you have tremendous technique and talent. As a matter of interest your deceased Canadian namesake used to play the arpeggio in B11 of the Aria downwards which gives it a delightful poignancy I think. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

  • Thank you very much, AristotleQuasar! I am familiar with Gould's arpeggio. I like it too but, for no real reason, I got used to playing it upwards.

  • the video cuts off your spoken epilogue. what were you going to say? anyway, good work, glen.

  • Thanks for your comment, Emar4. I actually don't remember what I said after the video cuts off. It wasn't anything profound or important though. Probably something about how much I like the piece.

  • Thank you for honoring repeats. I prefer them with repeats in. :)

  • Nice changes between leagato and staccato. I also like how you sometimes wave your hands like Glenn Gould! The last variation was cool and the da capo of the aria was breathtaking! Beutiful ornaments. I myself know the aria and Im now working ot the first variation and the tempi di guige. Wierd break in your presentation tought! Wanna learn more about your musical experience etc.

    Your so cool! :-D

  • Thanks, bootylissus! I'm not sure when I'll post again, but I plan to eventually.

  • Thanks, ronaldraymond! I'm using the main default grand piano sound. I upped the reverb from the default setting to level 8. I also have the keyboard connected to two bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer, so those play in addition to the keyboard speakers. I'm very happy with the sound.
