I was at the concert that night, he rocked it. Plus I got to talk to him afterwards and get an autograph that's still hung up in my room today. :)

how awesome he was in my hometown and i didn't see him. he really is an amazing voice of passion in our time, i'm not of african descent, but i feel him on such a level that i'm envious of whoever recorded this!!! long live saul williams!

Too long have we seen the stereotypical black man in our media, 50 cent prime example. People like this man and Jurassic 5 are unerrated, Saul williams is using music as a speaker to vent and promote his words. Rightly so, since more men and women of all ages, colours, creeds etc are seeing him as a mouthpiece for modern times and are inspired by him.
I love Saul, he is an inspiration to me and to everyone.

He doesn't have to pay his dues, he hasn't contributed to musical evolution in the way that we could perhaps imagine.

He had to come on to this tour and he had to perform first. There were not that many people there at 8pm. So many people could of seen how amazing is and then be turned onto his music but they missed. It was a sad fact. He was well known in the poetry/film world, and not in the music world. This is an observational documentary so I had no idea what I would happen. It was for a film school project and I had to tell the story that I actually had captured.
