THE BASELINE TRUTH has been delivered for over 2 decades by Michael Ruppert, who has mapped the slow collapse clearly and without boogeymen. The truth is so simple, and so basic, that it explains EVERYTHING - without men behind a curtain. The stumble or fall of the human race is BAKED IN THE CAKE, without the need of any puppet masters. But we have gluttoned into a society of entitlement to "deserve" or "have a birthright" to this notion of excess, wealth gathering, and clamboring up a pyramid.

When nature/reality collides with our growth to unsustainable and unmanagable proportions, the formations of the poor, the starving, and the unemployed happen NATURALLY. Not planned. If the last drop of oil was consumed tomorrow, 95+ % of the globe would be dead within a month. Period. We are now in an era of "rightsizing" whereby balance/reality is slowly seeping into the infinite growth systems we take for granted. No need to look for a man in a mask spraying poison in the clouds. We're on a sinking ship, and some of us will educate and prepare ourselves for the new realities that many of us WILL see in our lifetimes.

At some point it's going to be a lifeboat world, where loving caring intelligent egoless communal collectivist people will survive as tribes with localized sustainability. You either become kumbaya sharers, or as rugged individuals we will mostly die.



I am not a CollapseNet member, nor affiliated with the website. Nobody seems to be getting it, looking at the most recent comments. The true enemy is the paradigm we live in - the conspiracist crap isn't going to be our downfall. @MisterSilverBug Ruppert is very aware of the FEMA Camp thing. He (nor I) just don't buy into the concentration camp baloney that is used to scare the bejezuz out of people. OK, so the govt has essentially minimum security prisons for illegals and they're hush-hush about it. OK. Did Alex Jones also make up the National Defense Authorization Act? This bill, if passed as law, will detain ordinary Americans "suspected" of being a terrorist - INDEFINITELY - with no due process. This bill is very real and is not an AJ scare tactic. And where will these "suspected terrorists" be sent? To the FEMA camps! Who are these "terrorists"? Returning war vets, protesters, preppers, etc.. aka ordinary Americans! It's not for illegals. The govt. has pretty much opened our borders!

Yeah be knowledgeable and wary of peak oil BUT be a little bit more realistic of the reality. Buy a smaller and more fuel efficient car! get your home insulated, try to keep fit, learn about home cooking, etc! that's useful information! unlike Ruppert's advice.

I think he makes points that shed light into idiosyncracies, and potential failings - of governments/institutions, systems/policies, etc. His claim that we should get rid of the monetary system completely, fractional reserve, fiat currency, cpd interest is pie in sky or 500 yrs away. We can't all carry a POS terminal around while buying chickens at market, and cpd interest is engrained into our'current' competitive human psyche. If I have 3 chicken I will give you but one so I still have 2.
