I agree with your assessment, though I would gently like to point out that rich and poor live everywhere-- when I lived in Santa Fe there were so many free things to do I barely spent any money to make myself happy (unlike many other places I've lived). Prosperity thoughts to all!

nowhere on earth is like beautiful santa fe,it's special, and yes there is snow quite often there and here in albuquerque,we used to get a ton but wev'e been in a draught,so a gentle snow or a biggie is good whatever nature provides, and green all summer, with dry hot days and cool nights, only a king can live here,it's expencive, but the people don't mind, because they are enchanted.......

It's impossible to describe how enchanting, special and beautiful is Santa Fe New Mexico. Been there for some time with beautiful Pam, best artist in town. Have lots of money cause you'll find incredible and unique things to buy. Love this city for ever and ever and the nice people I met there. Big kiss to the Plaza and The Ore House, my favorite place. I'll always remember.

It is green. The juniper and pines keep the landscape green. The mountain snows provide some water. The light, the air, the mountains all make it a surreal place of beauty.
Hopefully we can move there petty soon. How spencive is the rent and if u can please tell me which is the best area to live?. We currently live in Bakersfield ca. But, I would love to move to santa fe. We have no family or friends there which is harder! So hopefully u can respond to my questions..

@littleprinceshairbow -- it is a bit expensive living here... 2 buck chuck cost 3 bucks in Santa Fe but, it's really beautiful. And you can see it snows here. There are a lot of interesting places to live, lots of fun little towns (Madrid, Nambe, and of course good ol' Santa Fe). Guess you will just have to come and see what place is best for you! Best of luck...

I've lived in Santa Fe my whole life and we're just coming out of a drought. I know back in 04-05 there were huge snow storms. We got 4 feet in one night. Santa Fe's great though, since we get a lot of diverse weather and people, not to mention the food here is the best I've ever had.

Seems the last big snow Santa Fe had was about 30 years ago. I know for some folks, it's old hat but here it was a big deal.
