(The art starts about 1:00 into the video.) Blaze Foley created visual art late in his life. This is a binder in which Blaze kept his work. Blaze was killed in early 1989 and his binder was given to Jubal Clark who brought it to Larry Monroe for his birthday tribute to Blaze in late 1989. The video doesn't do this artwork justice, due to the protective sleeves casting too much glare and the desaturation of colors by the videotape. The artwork is very vibrant. But this video gives an idea of the primitive and decorative style of art that Blaze was creating in the late 1980's. Copyright (c) Larry Monroe 1989.
