  • The umpire was right.

Look how Robin 'patted' the ball when it came off the line.

Obviously Soderling made the mistake of assuming the ball was out.

The call (probably influenced by Soderling's casual stroke) came after he hit it.

Federer was right not to react (very classy), and it was a piece of great umpiring by Pascal Maria.

  • I don't know what Mac had been smoking. The ump made an excellent call. The call was made at least half a second after Robin had hit the ball. Pascal Maria is not one of the best for no reason.

  • The out call was CLEARLY after Soderling had hit the ball. The call had no impact on his decision to play the ball.

  • OMG 2:10 fake handshake from Robin to empire !!!!!!!!! : - S

  • the only controversy was in that commentator's head, open your eyes and clean up your ears before you talk.

  • I hate how Mac just loves to hate on the umpires and the line callers. Get over it Mac, you're not on the courts anymore.

  • Divas... lol

Someone tell me why Gavin Rossdale hangs around Federer more than his own wife does. Dude is beyond clingy.

  • very tough call,

    IMO it was

    - smack (Soderling hits a forehand)

    - 0,1 secs between

    - out is called

    Good call, me thinks...

  • wtf mac r u deaf the out call made afta the ball was on otherside of net just cuz robin taut it wud be cool to play the ball casually back doesnt mean he was affected by an out call!!!!!

  • It was in, good call, soderling is a BITCH for assuming it was out. Got nothing on Roger, a class player.

  • The decision is absolutely correct ! These are the rules, you keep playing until there's a call, Soderling hit the shot, thinking it was out, and sent it out. The call was made right after he hit the ball. since his stroke is out, he loses the point, that's how the rules are. The challenge system doesn't even change anything. You think a ball is out (and actually it's in), you don't strike, or you strike it out ; you lose the point. That's logic !

  • And the fake handshake from Robin? Was that all because of a point at 1-0 in the first set? Or were there problems later in the match? Pretty classless.
